Hi guys

Im looking for a formula holden engine, either 3800 v6 or the newer alloytech 3.6 v6.

also, ideally, an engine fitting kit (for a reynard )

If I was to get one built can anyone recommend someone to do so?

cheers
Mike

Good luck finding one, even if you did second hand it probably won't be cheap.

Formula Holden's only used the Buick 3800, no Ecotecs or Alloytecs.

The cam can be bought off the shelf pretty much, not sure about specs. I also think they ran a custom crank for strength.

If you wanna get one built properly I hope you've got deep pockets. For that kind of investment I'd be looking at other engines that have better after market support and proven reliability (I've read on other threads about the Formula Holden's being rather unreliable).

No off the shelf kit is going to exist for a car like that either, everything is custom fabbed.

Thanks for the link ill take a look. Crank was stock only real change from stock was cam and porting. Alloytecs were used from 2006. Can build one but figured made sense to check around a bit first incase anyone had an old one or old fitting kit laying around
