hey guys and girls .
im just looking to buy a vl commodore.
not familiar with the rb30 engine.
so was just wondering if some of use could just let me no on the good side and the bad side of these engines and also what i should look out for when im going to buy one.

Good side: Those turbo motors went like stink about 15 years ago
Bad side: My generation ran most of them into the ground
Good side: There aren't many left
Bad side: Scrap steel isn't what it used to be 3 years ago.

Look out for rust

Especially around front and rear windscreens. Even if there are just small parts you can see you can guarantee that it will be alot worse under the windscreens.

Check to see if the rubbers have been replaced in the suspension, as well as shocks and struts because even the youngest VL is still 22 years old.

As stated most VL's have been trashed, and the few unmolestered ones 'left' only exist in dreams.

If you are going to buy one, find an old lady and offer her some coin for hers.
