More cars than I've got space to park!
I know the heaviest VH was 1370kgs (5.0L SL/E) so a VK Calais might be slightly heavier with two extra windows and a whole heap of plastic stuck to it?

In the end it won't matter what figures you find anyway, all rego authorities work off a list of their own and generally they won't hear any different.

And of course you can't weigh your own car because people would fill them with sandbags to get the weight (and therefore the max engine capacity limit) up!

Probably easiest to get the final figure from them or your engineer, that way you know you're both working off the same numbers?

By chance I was looking at the HDT website today.

Director & Grp 3 were listed at 1379kg while Grp A Grp 3 was listed at 1380.

1983 vh v8 sle 2000 vs v8 ute 2012 ve11 redline
I had my vh sle on the scales quite a few years ago. It weighed 1420 kg. It has a 80 litre fuel tank and did have a tow bar
that I have since taken off. It weighed 7 kg. I'm not sure how much petrol was in the tank. You might find that the factory
quoted weights are dry weights.

Just out of curiosity, is there a specified weight difference between the EFI and carby models?

From the NSWRMS website (WA may well vary) the heaviest VK would be the Calais at 1290kgs plus 56kgs for an 8 cylinder engine equals 1346kgs (they don't count accessories like sunroofs or towbars)...

When I got mine engineered I was required to get the car weighed at a certified weigh bridge. I am in W.A. That was about three years ago. Not sure if rules have changed.
