Hi Heath. Good to know your on the right track to fixing it.
Yes the wire from YE10 goes into the harness along the fire wall and connects to the ignition module.
Also in the harness is a splice that goes up to the instrument panel to the tacho.
Probably best to run a new wire from coil to ignition module outside the harness.
You should then have spark but the tacho may not work.
Fix the no spark first then the tacho later.
Cheers.

Also relocate the coil to be near the strut tower as its impossible to work on at the rear of the head.

So I went to do as you said and relocate the coil, along with try and locate the other part of the broken wire. I was really surprised when I couldn't find anything broken in the harness itself, when I took a closer look at the coil I noticed this

The wire feels very stiff like a solid core, has it pulled out of that capacitor? And would that cause lost spark

The cap is mainly to stop ignition noise causing noise in the radio. If disconnected it wouldnt
cause loss of spark.

Next step would be to measure ohms between -ve on coil and the Ignition module pin 6
which is the pin closest to the guard on the large plug .

That wire should be close to zero ohms.

As suggested by ABBA above try swapping ignition module.
