loud shocks??

hey guys,

i have a SV6 my 09 have had it for a couple of months now, and have noticed that the shocks are quite loud when going over speed humps, i can actually hear a noise like air when the shocks retract. Is this normal? that the sound is loud enough for me to hear it? or should i take it to the dealer?

ive heard of some shocks failing in the lowered ve's but yes it it normal operation to hear shocks to some degree,

I would not worry these heavy cars need heavy duty shocks and thats why they are noisier say than a small car.

All my holdens x3 have had noisy shocks.
