Hey all Got one for you. Hoping someone knows what, how, where this noise is coming from Front passenger window. VIDEO0002 - YouTube Uploaded a video of it above Reduces alot when raining/car washed. Tried lucricating everything i can see and still no win. Noise seems to happen i think from the top of the frame more so. As soon as it hits the top frame it makes the noise whilst going up. Sounds like a horny seal in a way Hope someone knows a cure.
Haven't got a clue.Perhaps clean the top seal area with a toothbrush? BUT I certainly got a laugh out of it when you continued to wind it up and down on You Tube.I don,t know much about horny seals,perhaps you should email it to David Attenborough he'd be sure to know.
do a search this has been covered many times if you have glass down a bout 100mm, look between glass and outer weather strip in middle there is a little metal tab sticking out drop a bit of grease on it
Sorted it Sprays Nulon Ezi-Glide on the rubber and weather strip at bottom of window whilst was down. Prob only spot i didnt do prior and seemed to have worked. However window creeks now when opening and closing door whilst window closed. Thinking maybe have to adjust the curve of the window frame a fraction.
Just had drivers door trim off on my 2003 VYII Berlina for that annoyingly loud screech at the top of the windows travel. It is indeed this little "rubbing" block that needs some lube on it. It dries right out and makes a deafening screech as the window seats fully closed. Thanks to those who commented on this earlier, it led me to a fix. Cheers .
