loud winning/whistle sound after connecting pod filter

i just connect a pod filter and theres a loud sucking noise kind of like a whistle while on idle, is this normal? or do i have a air leak somewhere?

A pod filter will be louder so I think normal

Yeap, Pod's will have a lot more induction noise than your average panel filter.......completely normal

This. And if it is boxed up the noise shouldn't be quite as noticeable.

yes on my VS i get looks from people because i sound like a vacuum cleaner

whats better for performance , panel filter with something like K&N or a pod in the engine bay?

No real difference

Box pod or panel filter will be fine

Exposed pod filter susceptible to heat soak from engine causing sluggish feeling from the car and police don't like exposed pod filters.

Pod filters a a waste of time and if they served any purpose they would be on the car from factory... K&N panel filter will be fine.. Or just stick with a stock filter....
