Hey guys,

Does anyone how to make the whistle of the turbo louder? (Turbo Diesel).

Reason I ask, today I drove a 2011 Mitsubishi Triton Turbo Diesel, everytime I let go of the accelerator I could hear the turbo and I liked the sound of it.

Any suggestions?

Cheers,
Ben

Before. You want to make the flow from the air box to the turbo as unrestricted as possible. I know if I take the air filter off the SS it sounds like a jet's landing next to me.

Ok great! I will take a look and see where the baffles are and remove them, then see how that goes. Thanks for your help :)

Yeah I was going to get the exhaust done later on when the warranty has run out (next year), but I didn't know it made a difference the the sound of the turbo.

More flow more whistle. That's what happened with my skyline after I put the dump pipe on it and also the patrol.

Ok sweet, so you think a 3 inch exhaust will be alright? I also don't want to lose any power/torque.

There seems to be a wide range of exhaust chip combos out there for them. Might have to search the colorado forums on which way to go. NAAF might be able to help as well.
