Hi all.

I read Phreedy's thread on Low level output conversions for the VY and VZ head units. I would like to buy a kit, but how do I get in contact with Phreddy or are there anyone else who sells these mods?

Cheers

Yeah but as Phreddy explains. You get the best sound when you take the signal before it is getting pumped up by the amp in the head unit.
I don't know how much the difference is, I just don't want shittie music. Haha

lol, you don't want shittie music but you are staying with the shittie factory headunit ???

Seems legit...

For not a lot of money you can get a better option that will connect to your MP3, play MP3 discs and put the factory head unit to shame in every other way.

For under $500 you can do all this and connect a steering wheel adaptor kit.

All this and it is fool proof to install with loom adaptors.

Yeah maybe I should have gone that way in the first place. However I have the ipod connectivity in my head unit, which works awesome with the steering controls. I like the "well finished off' stock look and reasonable happy with the sound quality. Agreed it isn't the best in the world, but as long as it doesn't get worse I can deal with it.

From memory, Phreddy doesn't sell the DIY kits anymore.
Something to do with lots of "I broke it phone calls" i would imagine

Cool... Thanks guys.
I think I am going with numeric's easy solution. Looks like I can get amp's that doesn't need low level inputs, so I guess that would be the cheapest and easiest way to do it anyway. :)
