Low Profile Radiators Fans for VZ V6 ?

I'm doing some mods and it looks like the standard radiator housings are going to get in the way.

Can anyone recommend some 3rd party fans that would do the same job (or even improve on it), and not be as "thick" ?

Has anyone done this?

Also, if there are difficulties or hazards associated with this that anyone know about, a heads-up would be appreciated.

You could chuck a set of Craig Davies fans on but they'll be no where as effective without the factory shroud, not to mention the factory fans have multiple speed settings which you'll lose, plus you'll chuck up a check engine code.
