I have a VZ V6(auto) wagon on 155,000k, it has started vibrating at 1500 to 1700 rev. I think it is the gear box but am unsure. It vibrates the dash inside but only when it is moving, trouble is when driving at 60 to 80k's it is right in the range of the vibrating. It doesnt happen when accelerating hard.
    Please help

Yes, it only vibrates with load, but if I accelerate hard it doesnt do it either.

It seems to be from the centre console right upto the windscreen but more to the passenger side. It vibrates on all roads, only thing that changes the vibration is the revs

I have been told that it is a cam shaft sensor and have been quoted $300 for one. Can anyone tell me where I might get one cheaper in Adelaide?

    Cheers

Are you sure it's engine rpm related or road speed related??

Thrapper, I have the same problem, did the cam shaft sensor fix it?

Sounds to me that it's likely to be the Harmonic Balance. The big pulley at the bottom front of the engine held on by (about) a 25mm nut. Replacements available SC, Repco etc.
