lowered irs question...

rang a suspension specialist today for prices and recommendations on an suspension upgrade and was told i shouldn't lower an irs car by more than 1/2 an inch (6mm aprox), even with their camber kit and a front and rear wheel alignment..
Apparently it causes "issues" with handling performance.
Personally, i want to drop the height about 25mm all round.
Does anyone have a vr/vs irs with a similar drop to what i want, and have their been any "issues"?
Also some pics at that height would be fantastic!! Especially if you're still running 15" rims!

Mine is IRS and lowered 30mm. I've a camber kit on board and have no complaints whatsoever.

A lot of people will also tell you a camber kit is not actually necessary when getting it lowered only 30mm anyway.

my VS is a stock height, n my wheels sit in badly already, but i got no camber kit... Man F^&% the camber kit, n just rotate ur rear wheels every 6 months, that way when the tyre wears badly on one side, the other side is like brand new...

thats the smartest way i think.. but thats my opinion...

my mates VS is dopped on its ass.. he has no camber kit, n just rotates his wheels every 6 months...

wat the guy said bout handlin is B/S... it actually makes ur car handle better...

hey all u guys with camber kits, do use find that u lose a bit of power steerin with it, cause thats wat ive heard, just wanted to know if it makes a difference to the steering or not....

It should make it corner better but straight line stability will suffer. It's the same as having neg camber on the front. I'd lower it to where you want then check if the tyres are leaning too much. On the rear there are four adjustable offset bushes you can fit to the trailing arms (all the same). If your wheels are only leaning a bit fit 2 of these bushes (one each side) and see if you can straighten the wheels roughly by rotating the bushes. If it straightens them get a wheel alignment and your done. If not fit 4 and get a wheel alignment. They cost about $90 for 2 or $160 for 4.

Oh yeah, 1/2 an inch is about 12mm. Still not much though.
