Vt S pack s1
G'day Guys
just inquiring about lowering my vt s pack. currently running the factory fe2 suspension front and back and the factory 5 spoke 16inch wheels. Im planning on keeping the factory alloys but I want it lower, not tucking tyre but just closing up the wheel arch gap. any suggestions? thinking king springs, either ssl or sssl all around, also want to keep it legal. cheers guys

Well with SSL or SSSL's all round you'll be tucking tyre and scrapping over every bump in the road and draw the cops attention. I had SL's all round on my VY years ago and this was how it sat with Monroe GT Sport shocks

When my car was that low i was having to go sideways over speedbumps and my exhaust would be scraping on them still. It handled nicely but I actually went back to FE2's after about 2 years due to the scrapping etc as it was a daily.

Were you running the standard sl springs or the HD springs (heavy duty) not sure which ones to go for if and when I install sl springs and shortened shocks on my vt. Cheers

Best bet (I forget where to measure from and too) call up a suspension shop, tell them what you're after, they will tell you to get the measurements needed to find the springs to suit. If they want your money it will be fast and prompt.

Eibach, Lovell and Pedders make springs for VT-VZ that sit the guards a smidge above the standard wheel height. I have the Pedders. Still get some scrapage but that's due to the 4-1's
