G'day again :)

A while ago, my LPG system stopped working after I accidentally left the negative battery terminal for the unit disconnected for a few days. The car was running on petrol for a few days before I noticed.

It's quite possible the Landi Renzo Omigas 5-6-8 Cylinder ECU is dead, but I bought the USB cable to see if I could communicate with it in case it just needed reprogramming.

There were two different copies of the software on the CD - one for normal and one for DI models.

Neither of the software packages can communicate with the ECU.

About two minutes after I supply power to the LPG ECU, the "IN" LED blinks every second indicating that it's trying to 'say something'.

The "OUT" LED blinks when the software is trying to communicate; so I think the cable itself is functional.

I guess I either have the wrong software or the ECU is dead. About $300 or so to get a replacement.

Assuming the ECU is dead, should I get another from eBay, or try wreckers etc?

Cheers, Mike.
