Hey all,

I currently have duel fuel on my VS, Got it because it was a $99 deal and I make 2 trips to Geelong (250kms) each week, so I figured I may as well.. I Have been looking around lately to see how much it would cost me to get Injectors installed instead of the shitty restrictive LPG system that they all come out with.. I was quote $600 for the "cheap" ones, but then he said he recommended the "IMPCO / BRC system as used by Holden And Mitsubishi for $3335"

Where is the Midpoint? :p
And Is there much difference?

Any kind of performance mods I can do to it? I was thinking of getting a 69mm Bored out Throttle Body, but figured this would be pointless due to the F**king restrictor in the way.

I would really like the try and increase some of the RKW power, but is it possible on an LPG system? Since having the LPG I've had a tank of Premium sitting in the fuel tank for any extra octane if need be :p

Hope you can chip in some ideas :)

Cheers :beer chug:

Yeah I installed a CAI a couple of months back, and my dad use to be a mechanic, and he keeps on insisting every time I go out the get one fitted that he will do it... (still waiting dad...)

Where can I get a lazer cut shield for a good price to go between my radiator and CAI?

Even at $600 is a conversion to injection the best performance increase per dollar spent? At most the difference is likely ~10%, depending on the mixer system being replaced, and then only at wide throttle opening, high rpm (high engine airflow). Extractors/exhaust may be a better choice. Likely an improvement in fuel economy too.

injection is the way to go over any mixer system as it a true multi point gas injection system no restriction in the induction system full on board computer control of mixtures and real time adjustment as you drive , better economy , better throttle response , power increase when using a fuel of higher octane rating ( straight propane from supagas ) etc etc

hey as a gas fitter i know that if you want you car to run properly on gas, and still want to keep the performance, then you can not go past BRC injection. Not many people will convert a vs to BRC as there is no off the shelf kit for it. If you want to keep the car on gas and up the performance there is a new system which is liquid injection. it is more pricey but isnt anything that will make you go faster.
