VE Omega Series II
I've bought a 2010 VE series 2 with factory fitted LPG. It has been driving beautifully for the past few months. After a recent fill up, it randomly started to jerk while driving on the freeway (I usually drive it at 100km/h to and from work). Then it automatically beeped and switched itself to petrol. The 4 green LEDs remained on, but the top indicator changed to red and began to flash. It kept flashing and beeping, even after I pressed the switch to change to petrol, the LEDs turned off but the top indicator remained red and flashing. This has been happening for the past week and some days it drives on gas, but majority of the time, it fails and converts to petrol and starts flashing and beeping.

Anyone have this sort of problem, or have any idea what the flashing red light is indicating? I looked at the user manual and it has specific codes for low fuel, overfilled tank etc but nothing about the top indicator changing and flashing red.
Any help would be appreciated

The click for when the petrol begins to transition to LPG? That's still happening

And to make matters worse, this happened while it was idle and the engine light came on today. Taking it into the mechanics tomorrow to get a read on the codes.

I see. Thanks for that, I'll mention it to the mechanic. Blackve76, out of curiosity how much were the repair costs associated with this problem?

My mechanic read the engine error code it was cylinder 1 misfiring. I need to take it to a gas specialist that deals with impco/Brc gas systems. Anyone know any good mechanics around Melbourne that work with these systems?
Cheers

Ours came up with a misfire(running rough) as well but after new relay and codes cleared all good $150 from holden dealer.

At the time I thought major engine trouble as it was running terrible on petrol.

How manys kms on car? mine was st 80000kms. our 2nd dual fueler Berlina is at 12200kms no troubles

Oh that's not too bad.
Mines done 112,000, I'm taking it to a gas tech my mechanic referred me to this Tuesday.

I'll report back once resolved for future reference

Blackve you were spot on.. $150 for a relay replacement did the trick. Drives on LPG fine now but again after I filled up recently, I got the flashing lights indicating an overfilled tank and it jerked a little on the freeway. Remained on gas so hopefully its nothing.
