LS 3 Black Pipe

Hi All,

Can any one tell me please, what the circled black corrugated pipe does please? I have just bought a Walkinshaw WP-ACL-1002 cold air intake and not sure if the circled pipe work needs to be deleted.

That is the Mechanical Sound Enhancer....gives more vroom vroom into the cabin.

For your aural pleasure, makes an excited flatulent noise in line with engine RPM behind the dash gauges. Is not critical for performance, no.

yes...mechanical sound enhancer. Can be removed...but plug the hole in the firewall if you are not to keen on hot smelly air from your engine bay...

Mechanical sound enhancer is the correct answer. Just pipes induction noise into the cabin as stated. No performance or critical component other than keeping stink out of the cabin. Plug the hole and you are sweet.
