Ls1 219 227 cam? Anyone used or had experience?

Just after anyone's opinion on a 219/227 112lsa cam with +.600 lift. was set on a 220 cam but unsure now. car is daily m6. i do know stock heads prefer split duration but would 227 be too big for daily duties? Any opinions greatly appreciated

For a manual on daily duties the 219/227 cam should be fine even ok on fuel but the 112lsa will give it quite a cammy idle if thats what you want.
A split cam like yours would be similar 222 to 224 straight up cam so pretty close to the 220 cam you wanted.

hey mate i got 238/240 .605 .609 112 in my VX SS daily driver and its no trouble at all but mine is an auto with 3000 stall convertor so that makes it easier to creep around town. nothing beats the feeling of a big camed V8

I have used that cam in 4 cars now, 2 LS1's and 2 L98's all autos with stock stall converters.

That cam is not too big for daily duties, will be good on fuel with a nice idle, good manners and pull well to 6300rpm.

FYI it has 607 lift on intake and 614 on exhaust.

around town its pretty bad maybe 400km to a tank

highway is still good 650-700km to a tank
thats with 3,000 stall and stock 3.08 diff gears

hey mate if i was you id go bigger, i have a 227/231 cam in mine and its perfect for daily dutys got 355.5hp cam only, 350 to 400l a tank in traffic with 4.11s. Im upgrading it tho gona go something around the 232/236 or bigger as i dont drive my car daily anymore. and want more power.

ps. my old cam is going to be for sale within the week.

yeah its still in the car tho. pulling it out 2day cuz my new cams ready . paid around the $650 mark but ill sell for 300.
