[LS1] ls1 cam!

the times finally come, im gettin a cam put into my ls1. its not goin 2 be my daily driver so i want something a bit more agressive/lumpy sounding. any ideas. on wat size cam i should get?..
also the bigger cam u get, do u have to do any more things?? i know springs n **** but anything else. i just wanta know some things about cams b4 i go down to the shop.

any vid links of your cams would be great too.

Extractors ? Hi flow cats ? twin exhaust, what size?
Manual or Auto, high stall convertor?

You know its pretty hard to give advice with out any information.

extractors 2 hiflow cats duel 2 1/2 exhaust. ( thinking of gettin duel 3inch tho not 100% sure yet)

gts intake. lsx fast manifold 102mm tb.

manual, short shifter, 4.11s

Definetly get rid of the gts intake and get an otr. Id personally go for a 228/232 112 .600ish as a minimum. Good cam and still driveable. You will need new clutch if your still running a stocky. Did you get any gain putting the lsx manifold on? Im surprised you went for that option before a cam. As for other parts, most shops will do the job in a package with cam, springs, locks, pushrods. If you have 4 into 1s with 3 inch collectors, a twin 3" exhaust would be a good idea.

cheers wat about the 232 234 cam. are they more lumpy? n how r they on the street?

You can make any cam lumpy, it's all in the tune. A 232/234 112 or 114 LSA would still be a streetable cam easy. They're a fairly common medium sized cam.

carless for now
definetly get a proper otr and ask the person putting the cam in he may have some cars that you can test drive
