Hey all. I have a VN, I have put a VR motor in it and have stroked it, 030" oversize, Heaps of head work, port matched everything, 70mm throttle body, CAI, 3.55 LSD etc Here are the Cam specs Duration @ 050" is int-222, exh-232 Lobe lift - int-.317, exh-333 Valve Lift - int-.507, exh-.533 Lobe Center Separation is 113 I have put Gen3 LS1 injectors in. It is running so rich, Im getting it tuned with the Gen3 injectors. Before I do, what is the fuel pressure/Pump on a VX with an LS1 in it thanks
sounds like you have a strong donk there mate. As for the gen 3 injectors, you wont need a different fuel pump or anything. The fuel manifold will hold plenty of pressure. Your standard injectors are 15lbs and the gen3s are 29 so your putting a lot more fuel in without having it tuned. However! not much point shoving that extra fuel in at high rpm if your intake runners cant put in the air. I would get a better manifold and then do the injectors and tune. Ull get heaps more power with that cam (which sounds perfect for a blower!). Give Craig Bennet a call at torque power or brad from enhanced automotive and they will set you straight..
has it got a tune at all with the new engine specs?? if it hasnt i wouldnt be driving it until you do.
