HI i have herd alot about roller rockers being used on V6s alot but i dont know much about the LS1 roller rockers...Some info would be great...
- What ratio would best suit a stock cam engine making 340hp at the wheels
- how hard are they to fit DIY...
- Would a fixed ratio or adjustable ratio be best and what is the differance
- Prices
- Brand (Are Yella Terra best)

LSX already have roller rockers just not roller tipped.
LSX rocker are lighter than aftermarket rockers so better on valve train.
Not worth buying aftermart rockers, spend your money elsewhere.

Have seen the stock units rev to 9k with a big cam, only reason to change em is if you want to go for a solid cam.

i looked at going high ratio rockers with a small cam to suit for my ve, but have been told not worth the money. Its just better to get a slightly bigger cam (still small 2300rpm to 6000) and get better gains for cheaper, for my case anyway

U have a stock LS1, 5.7, 346cui in a VX with 340rwhp/255rwkws....:hmmm:

Answers:-

1.8:1 with stock pushrods / 1.7:1 with upgrade pushrods(which I would do anyway...) and Dual springs with stainless retainers/locks.
Dead easy, unless you also do springs/rods/retainers/locks as well.
Fixed.
Seen them as cheap as $550 --> $1K depending on quality.
YT are the leaders in Australia and would stick with them.

Disclaimer: I am NO mechanic/engineer so all advice is just shite... talk to a qulified LS1 mechanic you trust.

made a difference, made it sound abit meaner and gave abit more throughout the rev range.
spun a realistic 234rwkw
with 1-4's, no cats, twin 2.5" and gts intake with a mafless tune, through a 6 speed.

Have heard similar from a couple of places iv spoken too, a couple of places said they've got big cam/hp cars running factory rockers and no problems, had the odd person say that the factory rockers are no good and leave needle bearings everywhere, but majority of cars iv seen/read about out there all seem to be running factory rockers with the odd couple running the YT 1.8 ratio rockers instead of a cam.

depends on whether you're after an easy mod that you can install and remove when you sell the car... you can get about 254rwkw with 1.8 rockers and a tune to suit. Couple of hundred more you could have a cam and more power again but then you also have to do more work to install it. You can see the difference between mafless rockers and no rockers here 1.8 High Ratio Roller Tipped Rockers to suit LS1
