Ls2 manifold on a ls1

hey guys, i gotta vt ss and looking at putting a ls2 manifold and 102mm tb on just wondering if anyone knows what kinda power gains this'll make, have lots of mods to motor eg, heads, big cam, high compression and only made 249kw but have standard intake and throttle body on, just wondering if anyone has any info, thanks

you will need the later style (VX - VZ) LS1 injectors and an LS2 fuel rail, you won't get a 102mm on it just stick to the 90mm or 92,

Something definitely is holding the motor back unless the power run was done in the wrong gear

yeah i got 42 pound injectors, and an ls2 fuel rail to suit, already got the 102 tb on the manifold

LS2 manifold will NOT line up against the LS1 heads, they are different size/design @ the head side so will have to get LS2 heads as well.

As for lack of power, can't comment but would be looking at the tune firstly and secondly the dyno could be off calibration... in the end talk to your tuner/mechanic if you are not happy.

there's 2 ls2 manifolds, some are recatangle ported and some cathedral to suit ls1 which is the one i have

you should throw up a pic of the throttle and manifold and open the throttle, interested to see how much airflow would be held back

and darcon the rectangle port is an L98/LS3 manifold

the throttle body sits on the gasket, can some see blue of the gasket through the throttle body, its all gonna be done by end of month so i'll be able to say the power difference it has made

ended up going with a fast 92mm throttle body set me back 400 and the ls2 manifold scored for a carton of carona
