My wagon only does 1850rpm at 100kph with 3.45 gears so its definitely revving its arse off.
My exhaust doesnt drone at all.
Sounds like you like diff gears about as much as i like small cams...
Tell you what, once that cam is in and with no stall youll wish you had 3.7 gears lol
What type of cam are you running with an lsa of 116deg?

With a small cam like that do you really need the added expense of CNC heads?
My tuner said upgrading the stock heads to CNC heads would add about 20rwkw.

The outstanding performance from a diff change is a lot of fun but it’s not for me. Anyway, this may be helpful. Diff calculation

(New diff ratio/Old diff ratio) x Old Highway RPM = New Highway RPM

Going to go with w407 222 228 @116lsa cam,
seems to been a lot of happy people using this package

Yep it works out to 1980rpm,should be pretty close, cheers
Just need to find the unicorn 3.7 genuine gears now.
What do walkinshaw charge you to just do the cam if you already have the exhaust and intake from the w357?

All the manual series 2 diffs would have a 3.7 ratio if its genuine your after? Surely there would be plenty around.

Did the manual ls3 ss and ssv get 3.7?
They are really hard to find compared to 3.45 which are everywhere.
Im guessing the auto guys are snapping the 3.7 diffs up quickly.
You can buy a complete new diff but its near on 3g.....

Yea I definitely got a 3.7 diff in my manual and all the auto are 3.45 in series 2. If putting more power down a new diff may be the better option.

Wow,1 vf 3.7 diff for sale in wa,$2000 second hand from a smashed ute, holy fk.
Theres a 2010 ve 3.7 diff for $1000 but that would be rooted, cost more to rebuild than buying new lol.
Not too common apparently.

Going from the W375 to W407 is about $6k with new lifters and CNC heads are another 2k extra.
Very pricey I know.
My ssvr2 A6 3.27 at 100kph is 1650rpm

After weighing up my options with second hand gears and centres i decided to buy a new one from amcap for around $2700,least i know its brand new and i can now sell my rebuilt 3.45 lsd diff to get some $$$ back:cool:
