Just looking for a tip on diff upgrade options and price ranges for an Automatic Series 1 2015 VF SS Commodore Sedan

I’ve already done brakes, interior/sound system/security upgrades, basic engine and exhaust with tune, etc. I’m going to start saving up for the one BIG go at the engine, but before that I want to get the diff done.

What should I be buying, how much is it going to cost for the parts and approximate install. Looking at something like a 3.75:1 LSD

Thanks for the help

I got a brand new genuine 3.7 holden lsd diff for mine for about 2g from amcap, alot better than the stock auto ratio.
Think it was around $250 to get it fitted.
If you want a tru trac keep in mind that some clunk badly, some are quiet, ive owned 2 cars with tru tracs and one was terrible(clunking),wa diff centre told me that alot of them clunk very badly, holden and ford, between my own 2 experiences, what they told me and people on the ford forum having many issues with them.
Just a heads up.

Cheers mate, much appreciated.

Are you saying you bought the whole unit AND housing to simplify to swap over, of the new gearing and LSD inside the original housing? I’ve seen a heap of suffering variants but I’m not as up to speed on diffs as with everything else

+1 on the tru-trac being a little clunky. Have one in my Falcon daily. Fine for a work hack, but not the best option for your pride and joy. Usually clunks when the trans shifts down from 2nd to 1st when coming to a stop. One good thing about them, when ripping away from the lights, they usually always step out left. So you know which way it's going to go. Makes it easy to catch.

Generally the Harrop TrueTrac is regarded as having a much better build quality than the Eaton unit, but it's twice the price.

If you're changing the diff gears, usually you have it fitted into the stock housing by a specialist so the backlash can be set properly.

I've got an Eaton TruTrac (not in a Commodore) and it's not clunky or noisy.

Yep i got the complete diff centre and housing already factory built, holmart advertise them for around 2g as well(guy is nasty to deal with, very angry)
Back on the tru trac deal,i also had one on my g6et and it was dead quiet, hit and miss i think tbh,id never get another one in case i got a rubbish clunky one:) i dont do skids so a factory lsd is more than adequate for me.
I would highly recommend spending 2g and getting a factory 3.7 holden lsd diff.
Afaik the harrop tru trac is an eaton unit except harrop fit a billet housing, same gears etc,its rated to suit more power.
I wanted 3.9 or 4.1 diff gears, the factory genuine gears only go to 3.7 ratio, my tuner told me aftermarket gears are noisy and can be weaker so i got stuck with 3.7.

Everything is going to be done by Morpowa on SA. I’m just securing the parts at lower prices than what they would supply them at
