Hey, The diff in my vp ss is making soft multiple thuds as i do slight turns and u-turns ect. It feels very tight, almost as tight as the kaaz centre in my vn ss. It pushes you through corners like its spooled. The arse end gets away pretty easily when you gas it a bit. When i first bought it a few months ago it never did it. Also has an high performance tag on it but doesnt say anything else. Previous lsd centres iv had have never done this. What do you think? Low oil? Cheers, Dan
my mate had problems with his lsd aswell, (it was in his EL but they had the bw m78) the thudding type noise was his brakes locking on the back wheels.... dont ask me how but its somehow related to the lsd stuffing up... changed his oil, put in some penrite(i think?) and its a thicker oil, solved all his noises in his diff, and eliminated his brakes locking on while cornering..... so for the money its worth dumping the oil and putting some new oil in? and if that doesn't solve it, then i dont know
Yea they have spider gears but its a different type of setup though with the addition of friction cones and springs. Its IRS by the way, if that helps? Might start by changing the fluid, can only be a good thing. Cheers!
