lsd - open centre

hey guys im not much of a diff guru and i just cracked mine open to weld it i was just wondering what are the visual differences between a worn lsd and an open diff... pics would be great help help guys

haha thanks... yea iv spent the last 4 hours searching the net... i dont want to weld then find out it was an lsd the could,ve just been rebuilt ill have a quick search on here

If you know what to weld to lock the diff you will know a LSD when you see it

an open centre is just that open, you can see the 4 spider gears, an LSD centre is enclosed and you can't really see jack. The LSD centre also has another row of bolts inside where the crown wheel bolts are that secure the 2 halves of the LSD centre together.
