i got a lukey 2.5inch catback from north east break and exauhsts in north east vic. over ebay for 185 + postage which was 20.

extremely happy with the system. sounds great at mid to high revs still quiet as you drive slowly :)

but if you want it to sound good going througha town or somwhere in an auto, just put yourself into 1st and 2nd gear and sit it on 2 1/2 - 3 k gives a nice sound :)

ok so as i've heard nothing but good about these parts, im definitely goin down to get one over the next week or 2 after rego.

any problems with clearance? apart from 2DIE sayin it touch's the back bumper.

how is it performance wise? notice any changes to acceleration etc?

The exhaust bloke I asked about a tip said its common with off the shelf exhausts, he said its a easy fix though. If I wasn't getting a tip tomorrow I'd do it myself.

Performance wise I'm not sure as in the last few days I have been bolting on a few things here and there, it was recommended by Steve at MACE as well as 1:9:1 rockers and a 25mm manifold spacer.

Only have the spacer to go and then I'll probably get a MACE memcal as well when I can afford them.

With just the rockers, exhaust and intake changed in the last few days it feels like a different car already.

Nice job 2DIE.

seriously spewing that someone who owned my car before me had some sort of exhaust put on, but they've welded everything up rather than flanged it all.
Means I cant do jack for the exhaust myself.

Have been quoted anywhere from $200 to 1k to get a cat back system fitted. The 1k one had 2 hot dogs and a some sport muffler in it, wasn't even stainless though, but was custom job I think.

Mirks in my opinion dont go near hotdogs. but depends if thats what your after i suppose

i have found that they have no real sound to them.

your best bet would be go pick up a standard exhaust from a wreckers for not alot and then go get your catback :)
