Are you saying boltons won't help a VY V6? I would have thought even an Eco would go better with some basic mods, much like my Buick did with the upgrades.
Of course it will help it get going a bit better, did all that kind of stuff to my old Ecotec bar the plenum spacers but with extractors and exhaust and went good for what it was ended up doing a manual conversion too which in all honesty was a lot of money that could of been put towards a better car but oh well

In rhe end, if you modidy a V6 Commodore it will still be slow, but now has cost alot more money.

But, if you hold off and buy something worth spending a little coin on, you wouldn't have pissed away money on a 6 cylinder commodore.

If your on your P plates and cannot buy a V8, don't waste your money modifying the V6 you have, save your dosh for when you get your full licence and buy something really good.
