Joe is a wizard, even without seeing the car if you tell him all your specs he can get something pretty damn close.

If it wasn't for the fact I'm now geared up to do tunes myself I'd have got his for my latest cam.

He did the tune for my old Crane 268 back in the day and it was spot on even without ever seeing the car.

That being said, tuning the car in person will always get far better results.

As Immortality said above about MAFs he was humble about my current setup cause it was MAF and said they're incredibly sensitive to changes and he'd need it in person to do it properly. At least he doesn't take money and attempt a **** tune like Mace does.

I used to do a few tunes for other people but mostly earlier stuff like 3800 V6 and 304, never MAF based unless I know the person and can see the car or get feedback on changes made.

I've only had one that didn't work but the owner wanted a tune done as it had been modified and wasn't running right to begin with but sometimes without seeing the car and been able to monitor **** it's hard trying to figure out what is going on.

I’ve also had sone weird technically incorrect information tried to be passed onto me and not just once. I got wrong information from them a few times. Enough go to put me off.
If they’re telling you with a straight face that using 91 fuel has caused your dash to erupt like a Christmas tree you need to get your money back ASAP! Because that’s absurd. A first year apprentice could tell you that.

Either speak to someone over there who knows what an engine is or demand your money back and run a mile! The person who responded to your email might have been the cleaner though so check that first.

I fitted a MACE tune a few years ago in a 304 and it's worked well.
