Hey guys, I just ordered a memcal from mace over the phone. Its going to be going onto my car when It arrives and I will write up a review for the product.

Heres the run down on my car:

1996 Vs Commodore ecotec v6(n/a)
-auto
-Bone stock throughout, GRANDPA spec!
-177xxx ks, engine in great condition.

So I will let everyone know how it goes on a dead stock car, as a super quick easy upgrade.

Thanks mace.

Yep all stock, even the original grandpa alloys haha. Though I did debadge it because it had those disgusting green "equip" badges on it :spew:

Yeah there pretty ugly, and my panel beater only charged me $50 to debadge the whole car, besides the boot and bonnet Holden badges(which look good IMO)

Well I just got around to plugging it in(with some help over the phone from mace as I am an electrical moron) and took it for a drive.

I am dead set surprised at how much better the car feels. Obviously using my ass as a dyno, I can't provide any real figures. But the car DOES feel a bit quicker off the line, defiantly more noticeable torque down low when chugging around town.

Also the engine seems to be running a bit smoother, and idling smoother. Feels more willing to rev freely.

Once you boot it and put a hole through your firewall, it revs right out to 5.5k and the car seems to push you into the seat a little bit more than standard.

Gear changes feel firmer, not by allot but it's noticeable and feels much better to drive. Not such long sluggish gear changes anymore.

I can't comment on economy because I have only driven 50km with it in, but next time I fill up I'll let you know what I get from a tank.

Before the chip I was returning 9.6L/100km on RON98.

All in all well worth the $145. Best bang for your buck out there I reckon.

Thanks mace.

Better than ever really, haven't been able to test the economy yet. But around town driving is nicer with the added torque down low.
