Machter water pump any good?

Think I need a new pump as I have a leak. Are Machter any good?

Doesn't matter, I just bought a GMB off eBay for a decent price.

they are just re branded Chinese ones I personally dont like the pressed on tin plate impellers..I pretty much always use gates stuff, much better build quality and Ive had one of those cheap tin plate ones fail within 400km

I recommend Repco water pumps

Repco gear is normally good but 2-3 times the price of the same rebadged item from eBay or a cheap car parts place.

GMB has gone Chinese now. Hope the quality hasn't suffered too much, got one in my car too so fingers crossed.

Yeah I thought they might have been made in China now. Hopefully they are made under licence and have kept the build quality.

I just received a new GMB pump. Sadly it looks like they have gone to a pressed stainless steel impeller. The cast closed impellers are more efficent and less prone to cavitation at high RPM.
