    if i remove the mesh and have it polished would it allow much more air through

    no it will more than likely make it run badly, the mesh is to straighten the airflow to allow an accurate measurement of the airflow.

  3. yer would go muckin around with the mesh in there, theres little heat sensitve bi ts of metal in there that heat up, but i have seen VR's & VS's with original duct misisn and all the sensors and replaced with a big metal duct goin to the throtle body so from the air box to the throtle body jus a metal pipe no sensors u camn get emm in different colours it didnt seem to run rough that much, and it u can really hear a big differnce to
