Are you reading the instantanious reading or the average L/100km?

yeah the instant reading.Depending on when i reset it, if i have cruise set @ 100 on a freeway with no overtaking etc the range display is around 900k's avg around 7l/100km. Obviously when you account for all variables it changes but in a set driving environment that's the fuel consumption, jus sayin.

Ive had mine down to 8l/100kms if I fill the tank and get straight on the freeway after reseting the trip computer.

whats the average the 9.5/10 ve manual v8's get from a full tank town driving? i woulda though 500ish or more

Would have to average 12L/100Kms to get 500 out of a tank. They generally get around 15L/100Kms at best city driving equating to closer to 400kms per tank.

Definatly the average l/100km. It also makes sense when I fill up the car with around 70 +/- L of fuel and the trip meter is around 230 - 260km (27 - 30l/100km).

The instantaneous reading is insane every time I breathe on the accelerator.

Wow.. I thought mine was high - mine's at mid 18s for the average readout. It's high - but not ludicrous for a 6L V8. When I get the exhaust, OTR and a tune, I'd expect it to drop a bit - not go up. Seems very high on yours... and I certainly don't baby my ute.

I wasn't asking you the question. I asked Footy which reading he was using to get 4L/100km. We've already acknowledged you've got issues with yours.
