If it is well south west of Australia it's well down in the ocean for sure, and has been for over 10 days now.
No hope of finding anything either is my guess, as it's blowing 25 to 30 knots and there's 3 to 4 meter swell, so the stuff has been well spread around and is well water logged and would have sunk.

But we just don't really know, do we? Maybe maybe it's hidden away somewhere.

That is starting to be the most likely scenario , if they cant find any wreckage , the black box has battery life of 20 days , we may never know what actually happened to the plane, which will be of no comfort to the families of the passengers , I cannot imagine what they are going through .
