    Hi all,
Since moving out of my house and living at my aunties until we get to move in my new place and not having a computer, I have decided to start drawing manga.

    Does anyone else draw manga?
How did you learn? did you have some books that you find useful?

I'm a beginner of drawing anything :yeah: I have no artistic skills lol so I'm trying to learn but don't want to go through the process of drawing an apple etc etc... I'm skipping first grade and going straight into manga.

    I've got a couple books
How to Draw Manga - Female Characters (vol 20.)
and also How to Draw Manga - More on Pretty Gals (vol. 31)
just ordered How to Draw Manga - Boushijo (vol. 21)

I kind of just look at a picture and then try to draw it out of books. So I'm just learning how to draw eyes, hair and body proportion etc.

used to but got bored of it pretty quick. Once auctioned a painting done Manga style in about 20 mins for $120 at a charity thing. Probably only did so well because it was a charity and a doctor's daughter wanted it pretty bad!

    Ah k lol.
    Musta been pretty good
I'm starting to draw for some past-time when I'm not at work or martial arts. It really does take me a long time ... to draw a 10cm x 10cm picture it takes like 1hr lol. So it is time consuming for me.

yeah i sketched absent-mindedly for ages. Then when it came to putting something together to auction i just picked a couple of good sketches and reproduced them as a painting/drawing.

I tend to do architecture now, must have hundreds of scribbles of the house i'll build when i finally find the block i want..... (might be waiting a while here....)

my girlfriend is pretty into this manga drawing stuff... ill ask her if she knows of any good books to get you started. she was an artist before moving into manga, so maybe she is a little more advanced than you want to be straight up
