Hi All,
Any VZ/VE V6 Manual owners out there able to help me out. I recently bought a VE SV6 Manual. noticed that the shifter was quite stiff when going into 1st and 2nd gear. all other gears mesh smooth as butter and require a normal amount of force to get into gear (I'm using about 50% more force to get it into 1st and 2nd gear than these other gears). over next few weeks box started crunching when going into 2nd gear. So i replaced the gearbox assuming that the 2nd gear synchro's were on the way out. second gear doesn't crunch at all anymore with the new gearbox all other gears continue to mesh smoothly. New Flywheel, clutch plate, pressure plate and slave cylinder all put in when the gearbox was changed. Car is still stiff when going into 1st and 2nd gear ?!? Is this just how these gearboxes are from factory, any owners able to comment on this? Cheers.
