I've been considering a replacement vehicle and I like the idea of something a bit 'sportier' than the norm.... I need a wagon and have been looking at either a 5 litre VR or Vs or a 5 litre VT. V8 Vts seem fairly scarce and I have started thinking about a V6 manaul instead... Are they hard to get?
VS and VT Manuals Hi, Because about 70% of new Commodores around then were fleet purchases, most were autos. I believe that only about 5% of Commodores were manuals. Thus they are in short supply, as there are a higher percentage of second hand buyers looking for them. That said, they are around. I have seen a couple on Ebay lately, and one in a car yard near where I work. I have had a VS S2 V6 manual from new (early 1997), and been very happy with it. It will be staying in the family, going to my 16 year old son when he gets his licence soon. Last year I bought a VY S2 manual Executive, as they are not offered in manual form in the VZ model. The V6 and a 5 speed manual are a good combination, if you are patient enought to wait to find one. I prefer the VS as it is much lighter than the VT, with the same drive train.
