Just thought I'd post this up while I fix it today, Last night driving home I could smell heaps of fuel fumes comming into the VP through the vents just as I was almost home. So I got home and it was too dark to see anything but I had a feel around the injectors and my hand got petrol all over it. So today I got out to prime the fuel pump and look for leaks and the injector I got from the wreckers after I droped one of mine and broke the cap has fuel leaking out of it the lower seal just with the pump primed (but no fuel should be comming out then!: ):O. I wanted to see how much it leaks while it's started and man, it was fair pissing out like a garden hose running forward across the manifold and down onto the ground:!). I'll go and pull the fuel rail off now and see what's going on with this injector. I've been getting a weird sore eyes feeling whiel driving my car for a couple weeks now and had been trying to find a suspected zoorst leak around the header flanges or something but now I see this injector must have been leaking a little bit the whole time and just got really bad last night. I'll go pull it off now and see what's going on . The best thing about all this is, fixed injector = more powa
Now I have a V7 but a V7 that doesn't leak fuel, I'll have to go and get a spark plug socket now, grrrr
Power to the station has been fully restored Took a while to find a good injector among the collection I have from wrecked cars (most VN/P s have amazingly clogged injectors! no wonder they almost all go slower than they should) but I got a semi decent VN one in it now
Well my gtech flew apart the other day and I haven't found all the bits in the car yet . But no I don't think there's more power than before because it was pretty max out last drags (apart from the might have been shonky lot of BP fuel I had)
Ah ok... Thought being a VN injector might help boost it compared to the old VP pos one... :whistling:

can i join in? good to hear its fixed foam i had the same issue with my old injectors, pissed out petrol like the stuff was 60c a litre!
Oi Airstrike do I have to run a banana to count as unopened ? or is that bolt on. It counts as bolt on right?. I'm probably still .4 away from a 13 as of today
But we don't care, so............blah! Could strap a turbo to a 5.0lt and run an 11, your comment isn't worth anything.
Manifold is fine.............I wont be running any banana's. Plus I need all the help I can get, my car isnt all striped like yours
I'm 100% sure I can make a 13 with a modified banana and diff gears LowVP I met a guy that ran a 10.1 in a stock VN 5 litre (with a big shot of NOS ) but that doesn't really count does it, just like a V6 with boost
So Airstriker and the Foam are at it to crack the 13's, who will get there first and who will take the glory....only time will tell ladies and gents lets hope all this anticipation doesn't get to our heads! lawl. have fun guys.
i would join in this but i have already opend up my 5ltr. but i dont think it would be too hard to make a vn run 12's unopend. with the right tune, manafold+t/b, exaust any thing is possible also it is a common problem for the injector o-rings to leak on the vn's ive done a few of them at work
