got a problem, while driving and really only when at a constant speed around 60-70 and applying acceleration minumally theres a bad vibration in steering wheel, accererator pedal and in front passenger seat and drivers seat and center concel pretty much the whole car, and also if over takeing a car on highway its fine untill i back off and keep it a constant speed. inother words when accelerating heavely it dont vibrate

im thinking auto mount and tail shaft?

all electric/ignition has been replaced, (everything from coil packs, o2 sensors, leads, plugs CAS etc u name it its new) injectors, fuel pressure reg fuel pump.....was thinking tyr's but theve been balanced etc and came up ok.

Maybe that centre bearing has finally failed on you unless you replaced it??

nah have not had a chance yet, hopefully its what causing it, is it best to drop the tail shaft to check the uni joints or can i just check then while its still attached to the car? drop the rear?

Does it clunk shifting from d to r and back?

If uni's you should be able to turn it by hand while in the car. Any movement is bad.

yeah you can check them while its still in the car.. Just jack it up and grab the tailshaft and try twist it. if theres play theres something wrong. although there will be the slightest bit of play from the gearbox.

yeh does have a very minumal clunk from D to R etc but has been there for years but will suss it out

i have just read that the CAT could cause it if its blocked, sometimes i notice the car feels restricted and other times its like a rocket also been noticeing more and more of a rotten egg/sulpher smell while cruiseing and acceerating, but i doubt it would cause this problem

thanks for all the suggestions, you gotta love cars lol

haha tell me about it…lol I had a clunk in my caprice when i backed off the throttle and turned out to be the uni joint at the front of the tailshaft it was loose as buggery from having no bearings in 3 of the housings but it never vibrated or anything..
