Plus considering power comes on at about 3k on a mostly stock engine and maxes out at 4,500 roughly, what would be the point of overrevving a little V6.
At 7k the tired old lifters probably won't keep up and neither will stock springs that have 200+k on them.
Heck my old lifters wouldn't keep up at 5k for anymore than a quick stab of the throttle, before they made a terrible racket.
Ah, she'll be right....Nothing wrong with checking the oil level without the need for a rag........
Some people only think of max revs, rather than longetivity....
