DIY is the best option, I bought some Pacemakers on ebay, went down to a few exhaust places to get quotes, $200-300 to fit it which was ridiculous.

So I just went and got the all the required gaskets and me and a mate did it. sprayed the bolts the night before so the manifolds unbolted without snapping any studs and was pretty simple from there.

Depends on what mods you already have on the car and funding, the mace CAI is a good setup.

I did Extractors first as I already had a good exhasut on the car, and was looking for that deeper note and a little more punch which I got from the pacemakers. I then added a Super 6 CAI which made the car feel more responsive.

I haven't got a tune for the mods done, but even with just those 3 things my car feels more much more responsive when you give it a boot full compared to my mates VS with the same exhaust system, without the extractors or CAI.

If getting Pacemakers, you can't do it yourself without a welder as they require a flange to be welded to the pipe to bolt up to the extractors.

I do Wildcats for $385, they have a slip join so no welding required and are very easy to fit. Pacemakers are a very good product, but in terms of bang for buck, will you get an EXTRA $120 or so worth of performance out of them?

I forgot to mention the flange, mate is a metal fabricator so he did that.
