just a couple of questions because im not that mechanically literate
i have a vt v6 5speed

- i smelt a strange smell after reving her about 3,5k-4k then changing gears, it comes through the heater when thats on.

- also when i get out the car i smell a wierd smell which is different to the first, im guessing it may be the clutch ...
(im not sure if its normal but whenever i engage the clutch i get a big jolt in the whole car, and i think people reckon im not a very good driver :p ) i try to release the clutch fairly slowly but it still does it, do i need the clutch changed?

it sounds like you have a slipping clutch, i would swap the clutch for a new one or have a mechanic do it but yeah it sounds like you either have No clutch fluid or you clutch plates are slipping

I haven't got a manual but I would say probably next to the brake fluid reservoir or booster, in the engine bay.

The clutch fluid reservoir is located next to the brake reservoir. The bleed nipple is located on the drivers side upper of the transmission.

When you go looking for the clutch fluid it's going to be black, so dont panic and instantly think something has gone majorly wrong

What does the first smell smell like ? If it comes through the heater and smells like cooland you could have a leaking heater core. If u do just wait until you get coolant dripping into the front carpet, then replace the heater.
