Just after some help on installing an Autometer Mechanical Temp Gauge...

Ive been to autobarn, and they have said you cannot use a T-Piece and run it into the Radiator Pipe.. Saying either into the block or thru a thermostat..

More info/pics would be awesome if you have done this before :)

Thanks!

i had a mechanical temp gauge (before i broke the pipe off the bac)
a t-peice will work but but you will need to have it screw into where the temp sender screws into then screw the gauges into that

Keep in mind that mechanical temperature and pressure gauges are defectable items if they are mounted inside the cabin.

It is illegal to have a non-factory high-temperature or high-pressure line running into the cabin, as it is deemed dangerous in the event of an accident.

Electrical temperature and pressure gauges ARE legal for in-cabin usage. If you're mounting it on the bonnet, then as far as I know you can use either.

How are police officers meant to know the gauge is Mechanical..? Its going to be mounted in the Din-Slot so they wont even see the wiring comming off it..

what about mechanical boost gauges,
they only use a vacuum line.
