Hi guys, I am trying to get my hands on a mechanics time sheet (if that is what it is called). I am looking for something that outlines a rough time that a set task would take as a reference. It would come in handy when designating time for DIY jobs as well as a rough reference if you think a mechanic is taking you for a ride. Such a thing may not exist or I may not be looking hard enough. Any assistance appreciated.
theres 2 ways to get it.. We have a book on job times at TAFE (can't remember what its called, but if I remember tomorrow ill ask for you), and also when i was on work experience, I noticed that most car manuals have the average time that its meant to take..
Thanks for the info mate. Was hoping to fluke something in PDF or some computer format but anything would be handy. I did forget about the workshop manuals having times etc! Would be great to know the name of the Tafe book and I will see if i can hunt one down. Thanks again
Definately available. We have a time book at our work. Can't remember what it was called though >< if I remember I shall have a look next time I am there
Yeah, youll probably find that there is a PDF version of it, as the book itself I believe costs around $250-$300...
we have repcos AUTOTECH on the computer which has a list of all that stuff. dont think youd get it without an account though.
