Hey guys, Long story short i need to pickup a car from Sydney and need to hire/borrow/loan a car trailer. Ive been quoted around $120 for a weekend by various places, but was wondering if someone had one they'd like to hire me a little cheaper. Id rather see the cash to go a commodore fan than a hire company, and hopefully save me a little extra. Cheers, Errol.
That's a damn good price, I'd say take it. Kennards charge about $85 per day, but their trailer is the goods. Some hire places give you Sunday free, if you rent Saturday. Ring the smaller places, I know Monash Hire do it.
Thanks mate, But ****ING GIO have screwed me over on insurance... One of their drivers hit me and did a bunch of damage (3 quote all around the $3k mark) and they decided to settle at $2300.... So im ****ed. ****ing GIO... If i ever become rich im going to buy 2 Ferraris... Insure them with GIO and them run them into each other. :bang::realangry:realangry:realangry:supersad::bang::cry::bop::drink::realangry
Handy Hire Trailers (phone 1800HANDYHIRE) have the following rates (prices subject to change, correct at time of posting in Adelaide and all that jazz): $50 Deposit (x2 for travelling outside of the city/metro area). $5 Damage Waiver (x2 For travelling outside of the city/metro area). $64 per day Hire fee for a car trailer (car trailers are the most expensive to hire). So for 48 hours it would be $138 (+$100 deposit which you get back upon return of the trailer). However, you can opt for a ONE WAY hire. So pick the trailer up at the place closest to where the vehicle is, pay for 24 hours hire ($69 incl. damage waiver) and drop it off at the closest place to your home when you get back. There is a fee on top of that but I am unsure of cost, might be worth a look though. Saves fuel taking an empty trailer up there too.
