Hey everyone,

This has now happened 4 times in a row, too weird to be a coincidence, and I was wondering if any other VZ/WL owners with ESP/ABS can test or vouch for this.

Alright, here's the story.

Every time I drive down Brunton Avenue where the T intersection is with Punt Rd (Richmond), if I'm sitting in the far right lane at the lights to turn right (toward South Yarra) just before the rail bridge, as soon as my speedo gets to 0 and I come to a stop, instantly my dash goes nuts with 'ABS fail' then 'ESP fail'. The moment I drive off, it disappears. Never happened before, does not happen anywhere else.
I'm thinking maybe something at Richmond station is interfering with the computer in the car, or the ABS module.
It happens every time without fail at that one particular spot.

Anyone else noticed this, or maybe can detour and try it and see if it happens to them? It's really weird and has me clueless as to what it is?

I've attached a map FYI:

There is a Bordello there.. i think your car wants you to pull over mate!

I've had the ABS fault go off when i start the car, bought a new battery and it hasn't happened since.
The ESP fault I've had once or twice at random times in different circumstances. Have had the car scanned and it checked out fine so i have no idea.

This could also be alternator putting out too much current, regulator stuffed. If alternator and battery ok, then could be ABS module.

Surely it happens elsewhere? Or only ever at this exact intersection in that exact lane? You'll probably find it'll start getting worse at other intersections...... I doubt an outside force could interfere with computer, never heard of it anyway! Maybe just stick to the left lane to avoid being vaporised........

Had any electrical mods carried out? Aftermarket audio system?

Sounds as though some critical wiring has lost its 'shield'.

I don't think there's anything wrong with the car though,
Im gonna deliberately drive past that spot again tonight, I'll let you know if it happens again.

perhaps the car reaches the same temperature at the same place everyday on his way around there.
