Yeah I went, it was friggin awesome. I tell you what though, I was pretty impressed with the support "Hell City Glamours" for a generic glam 80's rock type band.

Bach hasn't lost any of his range at all, one of the better gigs I've been to recently, without a doubt. I remember you, angel down, 18 and life and obviously youth gone wild were the highlights...

Disappointed in the crowd though, didn't even have anyone on the upper tier.

Meh not really interested in Cavalera, he's just been milking the sepultura cash cow for too many years now, hasn't put out anything decent in at least 12-13 years. I would have been happier if they got a local power metal band like LORD to support.

lol.... obviously you havent heard the new album, as for milking seps.... the only ones milking are the guys still in it who cant sell a record, but max still seems to get stronger and stronger, after all, he did create the sound that has made them so popular and created a whole new genre of music that is one of the biggest in the metal family to this day.....

No I've heard the new album. I was referring to milking sepultura with his efforts with Soulfly. He hasn't changed his style in 20 years, problem is the songs get worse and worse. Cavalera Conspiracy is much better than his efforts with Soulfly, but it's still garbage. Plus I've seen Soulfly live about 3 or 4 times, each time they bored me to tears, so I hold no great hopes of Max suddenly turning it all around. Igor however is worth watching, great drummer.

Regarding the existing Sepultura, well I rate Derrick Green as a much better vocalist than Max. They just don't have any songwriting ability.

Seeing you mentioned Drowning Pool in your post, it's pretty obvious we have very different tastes in music ;)

I don't know how anyone can be big fan of music and not been to a gig? I've been to probably 30 or so gigs, this year alone.

Find your local music joint and go support your local bands, I'd much rather goto a live venue pay $10-15 to get in and watch bands I've never heard of before getting up onstage and giving me names to remember, instead of going to the local pub or club and getting blind.

I've got the Come Together festival this weekend, and Move Trees (noiseworks guitarist steve balbi's new band) tonight, can't wait :D

And you're not allowed to goto concerts now? Live music is such a better experience than listening to an album, gives you a whole new appreciation for some bands.

Man its great to see people out there still listening to METAL.

I grew up listening to bands such as megadeth, metallica, slayer, sepultura etc. Still love listening to it now. At the moment my fav bands would have to be-

    hatebreed
    skinlab
    lamb of god
    opeth
    machine head

Not sure if i should start a new thread or not but i wouldnt mind knowing what people would put as their favourite heavy metal album of all time.

Mine would be have to be Megadeth-rust in peace

Any Fates Warning fans out there? I think they're long overdue for the release of another album
