The plastic screw/nipple (lol) looking things are just self tapping. Just screw them straight into the carpet. They aren't very effective though... my mats come loose from the floor all the time - the nipple stays in place, the plastic ring just doesn't snap onto it very securely.
Oi Michael the stuff in the bag are the plugs you screw into the carpet, that's why they have those corkscrew style screws on the base. What you do is locate the mats where you want them, mark the location on the floor and then screw the plugs in to the carpet (by hand). The mats look new so maybe those white things are crap from the factory?? Just a thought
where are you located anyways? next weekend im planning to hopefully service most of it and stuff. bit of an update - put the ssz rims back on and chucked up the sv8 rims on gumtree and got a guy coming for em tomorow $350 or $360 after 11am. picked them up for 250 a little splash of paint and a little less rubber xD.
just sold the sv8 rims for 400 (asking price) to another guy. The initial guy didn't text me and i said to text before 10. at first i felt bad then i was like meh my tyres my choice. that 400 will go to the coolant and supplies for service.
Planning on getting these from ebay. anyone had any experience with this brand/dealer before? eBay Australia: Buy new & used fashion, electronics & home d eBay Australia: Buy new & used fashion, electronics & home d
It's alright i contacted the guy and he got back to me real fast . hopefully getting it before the weekend but i got doubts
k so this whistling noise is becoming a real pain. anyone this similar problem before? at the moment when i go around ~60km i start to hear a loud whistling noise (i suspect coming from the wheel areas) front left/back right (estimation may be all 4?) but yeh its full on high pitched whistling. it's the same sound as squeeky brakes but more high pitched and it just keeps going UNTIL i turn my steering wheel a bit left (swirve left a bit)? it is really annoying. i do have a suspission the previous owner may have mounted a kirb in the past since she said once the steering went out and she had no control and... the front left wheel is a bit harder to bolt into the hubs (may be bent?) i am doing my front bushes soon and will have to get a wheel alignment after that so maybe i could ask the tyre shop people if they know anything about it but has anyone had this problem before? thanks a lot <3
Got my rotors today. the rears look normal but the fronts have this cross lines on there. is this normal for new rotors or have they been machined. they were advertised as BRAND NEW. Here are the fronts Here are the rears (no lines )
Get a micrometer and measure them and see if they are full width. I think you are reading too much into it and the moment you start applying your foot to the bakes they will look much worse than that. In fact they will look more like the rears with all the scratching in one direction.
should be doing plugs and leads today. hopefully i can do the bushes during the week maybe but dunno when i can book the wheel alignment due to work.
ok so THIS weekend im hoping to do the plugs leads and bushes. i can tell the plugs n leads will be a **** but will be good learning i guess. Holdenman7 will be happy to know i got my sparkplug adhesive and its in 6 little sashay packets aswell. got my brake pads aswell and i am currently uhh... "aquiring" a workshop manual xD now to figure out how to use this damn torque wrench lel.
