As delco said, you'll never break a spool.
On the 'bad for corners and tyre wear', thats just a myth. But it wouldn't effect you if you believed what your cousins uncles next door neighbour thought about spools anyway, drag cars dont turn corners...

He said he's building a budget drag car.
Not a street car to take to the drags.

The guy you quoted was answering the original guys question, its not a street car at all, he quoted the first post which says its a drag car...

Do the spool. drag car definitely yes. in a daily..... just do it, its cheap... if the minor short comming of it annoy u, get rid of it.. easy

from my own experience... race car that is also street driven.

If i didnt have to tow trailers id lock the diff in my daily too
