- 6 new spark plugs
- new rotory button
- removed the whole dissy unit, checked over it, no orange powder, replaced the 'o' ring with new 1
-fitted a new CAS plug
-replaced temp sensor
-set timing with ear, to best possible
- used timing, gun no beta
-checkd all my high tension leads seam to be fine
-checkd at nite for arcing in any of teh leads or plugs

Those spark plug leads need to be checked with a multimeter 4 omhs reading.
Also ur not using any coolant are you?

can you explan the checking of the leads to me plz,
and for coolant 2 weeks ago i lookd at it and it was bout 2 cm below max on the tank, so topped it up with distiled and its gone bak down to 2cm below full,
so ive got my eyes on this as it could mean heads gaskets gone or heads almost there,
but its strange last week it was fine then all a sudden it happens, then it will most likly stop and then happen again

it was fine last night and this morning, then 2day i changed the dissy cap to a new one and new plugs and a new rotoary button, ran fine then left it went out hour later and it was missfiring... so might check over all that tomorrow and then check if did miss something

just checkd the leads witha muilty meater
and got,
tested it on 2000K ohm setting
lead number........ohms
....1....................002
....2....................004
....3....................004
....4....................004
....5....................004
....6....................004

coil cable.... oo6
would the lead number 1 be causing any major probs or the coil cable

and i checkd teh Afm and its at 251, so might put my old 1 on as that has the cap on the screw punched out then adjust

i also did a check on the ecu and nothing came up besides the usall, air con nutral, speed and start system,
just waiting for the extracors too cool off so i can see if teh O2 sensors clean and fine

any ideas would be very grateful,

The leads reading sounds good but the coil lead being the shortest lead shouldn't have the highest reading!! I think it's still ok though..
The coolant level droping hmm could be a pin hole in the head spraying a tiny amount of coolant in a cylinder causing it to run a bit ruff, but AMf it sounds like.

Ah you put that in while I was writing.lol
anyway try this to check if it's a head prob, with a cool radiator take off the rad cap and put it back on to only the 1st stop where the cap can wobble about but can't come off.
Drive the car like normal and if the miss is gone it's a leak in the head..

i got one more trick up my sleave, because when i took the dissy of to check out the cas it didnt mark it the best and getting it back in was a guess job,
hope that isnt it,

goign to take teh top timing belt cover of 2morrow turn the motor over till its at tdc and see if the timing belt is rught and lined up

then ill try the coolant cap thing,
is there any additive i could add liketeh stop leak blocks to help stop the pin hole leak if there is 1?

I'd try the rad cap 1st as it's the easy...:whistling
And if it's a leak u can use chemi-weld..
